A dead woman’s family in Lahan of Siraha district has accused the woman's husband and in-laws of murder. The family of 22-year-old Nurjaha Khatun of Lahan Municipality-19, Charrapatti, Siraha claim that the woman died because of beating and torture given by her husband’s family. On Thursday night, 22-year-old Nurjah died after being taken to Birat Nursing Home, Biratnagar.  

According to Jhaagir, Nurjaha's maternal uncle, she was taken to hospital at midnight after she become brutally injured . Meanwhile, Nurjaha’s husband Samir Rayn and her mother-in-law Batuniya Khatun absconded after the complaint of murder was lodged in Police office.  The dead body was taken to BP Koirala Health Institute, Dharan for postmortem.  According to police, they will further investigate after detailed report of postmortem examination comes.
