Bagmati, Kathmandu, Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, Aug 13: Various organizations related to different indigenous groups have staged a protest at Baluwatar on Tuesday demanding strict implementation of existing provision of reservation.

The protestors claimed that the Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced vacancies violating the principle of inclusiveness guaranteed by the constitution of Nepal. The participants chanted the slogan urging strict enforcement of reservation and canceling the advertisement announced by the PSC.

They came down heavily on Minister for Federal Issues and General Administration Lal Babu Pandit and PSC Chairperson Umesh Prasad Mainali. A minor clash erupted between police and the agitators when the protestors attempted to breach the restricted area.
