Service provided by the rural municipality office has been affected at Likhu Tamakoshi Rural Municipality for the past 3 weeks.
The meeting of the rural executive on August 1 was halted after 45-year-old Rural Municipality Chairperson Govinda Bahadur Khadka tried to attack 48-year-old Chief Administrative Officer Bhupendra Rai and 36-year-old Ward Chairperson of Ward no. 7 Subash Bohora during the meeting.
The dispute started after the rural municipality chairperson proposed to allocate 6 crore rupees for electricity line extension stating that the budget allocated last year for the task was insufficient. After the dispute, Deputy Chairperson Dipshikha Dahal and Chief Administrative Officer Rai have been absent from the office citing security threats. Similarly, the chairperson has also not come to the office since the incident.
