Students staged a rally in Bharatpur on Tuesday to protest against the arrest of a student studying at Chitwan Medical College.
The students became agitated after police arrested Pravin Syangtan, campaigner of the Medical Education Struggle Committee from his room. Praveen is a student of BDS final year.
The students staged demonstration from the premises of Chitawan Medical College at Chautis Kothi of Bharatpur after they were stopped by police from heading towards District Police Office.
They protested demanding the release of Student leader Syangtan. Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Chitwan, Eknarayan Koirala, said that Praveen was arrested for questioning. He is currently in the custody of the District Police Office.
