Boards of Directors padlocked the office of radio in Bajura

Community Radio Paurakhi of Martadi which is operated for 7 years has been padlocked by its board of directors on September 6.

Rajendra Rokaya, the staff of the Radio said that the radio which was operating through Pauraki Development Cooperative was shut down suddenly by Chairman Ram Chandra Yadav and Deputy Secretary Surendra Nath without any information to the staff.

Rajendra Rokaya said that the chairman and deputy secretary stop the program forcibly when the staff was operating the program at 4 p.m on September 6.

Ram Chandra Yadav, chairman of the cooperative and radio board's committee, said the staff was unable to operate the radio regularly and that they don't listen to the orders of the board of directors. As per them,  it was, therefore, closed to bring new staff in the radio office.
