The affected workers of the Melamchi Drinking Water Project picketed the site-office of the project at Melamchi Bazar demanding the payment of salary to them. In addition to picketing the site office, they also protested by shouting slogans even though the local administration issued a prohibitory order in the Melamchi project area.
