The locals have padlocked the office at ward no-1 of Pipara Municipality under the leadership of Rahul Kumar Pandey, the local leader of the Samajwadi Party, protesting against widespread corruption.
Locals allege that Kishori Mahato, Chairman of Pipara Rural Municipality ward no- 9, has made extensive irregularities in the development works done in the ward and has made fraud over payment. Pandey said the lock-up will continue until the accused is investigated and prosecuted for corruption.
