A group of student leaders has vandalized the office of Deputy-Mayor Shanti Karki of Birgunj Municipality on Sunday. Some students of the student wing of the Nepali Congress, National Student Union(NSU), vandalized the room of the Deputy-Mayor Karki.  Deputy-Mayor Karki's Party is also from Nepali Congress. 

The vandalism has led to the breakdown of Karki's table and damage to the telephone sets and furniture. A group of NSU cadres who have been there to have information on the scholarship vandalized office after a dispute.

Deputy Mayor Karki said they vandalized office when the discussion was going during the topic of scholarship provided by sub-metropolitan.
