Police arrests Salt Trading Corporation Surkhet branch head on rape charge

Police on Wednesday, November 6 arrested 45-year-old Rambabu Gupta, a resident of Birendranagar Municipality-6 on the charge of raping an 18-year-old girl.
Police arrested Gupta, head of Salt Trading Corporation Surkhet branch after the girl filed a complaint against him accusing him of raping her on October 12 and October 17 at his room by luring her with promise of job. Police arrested Rambabu on the basis of the same complaint to further investigate the incident, informed DSP Ravi Rawal of District Police Office Surkhet.
The victim underwent medical examination at Karnali Provincial hospital on Wednesday.
