Police, on November 9, arrested 26-year-old Chitra Bahadur Khamcha on the charge of evicting his wife 24-year-old Sushil Kami out of home and discriminating her on the basis of caste.

The woman filed the complaint at District Police Office on November 8  accusing Khamcha, her father-in-law, and mother-in-law of verbally abusing her with ethnic slurs. 

The woman got out of the house on October 27 after being unable to withstand the mental and physical torture inflicted upon her. She had married Chitra Bahadur in 2012 and they have a child between them.
