Tarun Dal, a sister organization of the main opposition party Nepali Congress has called upon a general strike in Banke District on Friday protesting against the arrest of its cadre. Police, on November 1, arrested five individuals including Sandeep Jang Shah, leader of Nepal Tarun Dal with a pistol from Namaste Resort in Janaki Rural Municipality-6. Tarun Dal has accused the police of arresting Shah by framing him on a fake charge.
The general life in Banke has been affected due to the general strike.
