Movement Coordination Committee Siraha staged a demonstration in Lahan on Saturday protesting against the advertisement published by Public Service Commission. The demonstration staged in Lahan's Shaheed Chowk led to clashes with the police for about an hour.

The demonstration, led by Ram Ramzan Yadav, Coordinator of the Movement Coordination Committee, chanted slogan demanding the dismissal of discriminatory advertisement. The protesters tried to rally around the market carrying a banner, but the police surrounded them and did not allow them to proceed from the Shaheed Chowk.

The demonstration was conducted while the examinations for the local level's fourth and fifth levels were being conducted in 57 different centers of Lahan on Saturday.

A large number of policemen were deployed at Shaheed Chowk, Raghunathpur, Naya Bazaar, Grahmin Chowk, Purano Bazaar and other places to prevent disturbance in the examination.
