Road blocked for 2 hours after police deny registering complaint

23-year-old Kusum Kumari Mandal of Mithila BihariMunicipality-3 died on Saturday. Mandal's parents tried to file a complaint of murder at Dhanusha District Office. However, the police denied registering the complaint. Mandal's relatives blocked the East-West highway section in Golbazar Municipality for 2 hours demanding registration of the complaint.
Jibach Mandal, the father of the deceased, claimed that his daughter was killed. He added that the in-laws assaulted and mentally abused his daughter for insufficient dowry.
The body is being sent to Dharan for a post-mortem examination.
