Police have arrested a 40-year-old man from Mandandeupur in Kabhre currently residing in Gongabu on the charge of raping his 22-year-old daughter. The girl had been living with her father who is a wage labour. According to DSP Umesh Lamsal of Metropolitan Police Circle Maharajgunj, police extended the arrested man's remand by 7 days on Wednesday for further investigation.

The victim filed the complaint on Monday. She accused him of raping her 3 times. The victim underwent a medical examination following the complaint. Investigation officials revealed that the perpetrator confessed to his crime.
