Police arrested 2 persons in possession of a pistol and a magazine from Janaknandani Rural Municipality-5 Baranjhulla of Dhanusha on Tuesday afternoon. The arrested have been identified as 26-year-old Dipesh Kumar Mahato and 19-year-old Shubhakesh Mahato.

Police deployed immediately from Area Police Office Khajuri after being reported that the two had hidden the weapon in a mango farm 500 meters away from their house recovered the weapon and arrested them.

Police are further investigating the incident.
