Police on January 13 arrested 55-year-old Kedar Prashad Dahal of Manthali Municipality-1 on the charge of sexually abusing an 18-year-old girl on the same day.

According to the girl, Dahal a para-legal professional sexually abused her by calling her at his office. DSP Basanta Pathak of District Police Office Ramechhap said police arrested Dahal immediately after being reported about the incident by the victim.

Both the victim and the accused underwent a medical examination at a primary health center in Manthali. Police are holding the accused into custody for further investigation.
