45-year-old Shyambati Mandal of Hanuman Nagar Kankalini Municipality-11, Saptari has been beaten by her relatives on allegation of witchcraft.
According to the victim, relatives of Moti Prasad Mandal, Bina Devi, and Alka Mandal, assaulted her accusing her of practicing witchcraft.
The injured victim's treatment is going on in Gajendranarayan Singh Hospital of Rajbiraj.
The victim Shyamabati informed that two months ago she and her husband were beaten on witchcraft allegation. At that time, a complaint was lodged in the Area Police Office, Hanuman Nagar, and afterward, in the presence of local representative the case was solved with a mutual agreement not to assault them in near future.
