Family members of a 15-year-old girl in Dhanusha have accused 23-year-old Akalam Nadaf of Sahidnagar Municipality-2 Chorakoyalpur of sexually abusing the girl.

The victim's family reported that Nadaf sexually abused the minor girl on January 18 afternoon while she had gone to ground around 1.5 kilometers from her home. According to them, Nadaf sexually abused the minor girl after she refused his love proposal. 

Locals came to the rescue of the girl after she shouted for help while Nadaf was sexually abusing her. Nadaf broke his leg while trying to run away from the locals.

Nadaf, however, accused the locals of beating him and breaking his leg. He gave an oral complaint against them at Area Police Office Yadukohama on the same day. Police arrested 35-year-old Lal Kumar Sada, the girl's neighbor on the charge of assault on Nadaf. 

The girl's family has accused inspector Dipak Babu KC of Area Police Office Yadukohama of not arresting Nadaf on the charge of sexual abuse due to the influence of local politicians.

Inspector KC informed that the girl's family had informed police about the incident of sexual abuse and police are yet to receive a written complaint as of January 21.
