A woman has been murdered in Bhokraha Narsingh Rural Municipality-6, Sunsari on December 16. The deceased woman is identified as Muniya Devi Mandal, a mother of two children.
Kumad Mandal, victim's father, claimed that her daughter was murdered by his 28-year-old son-in-law, Punnalal Mandal. The victim's family has accused that their daughter was murdered in the name of dowry after eight years of marriage. According to the victim's family, who are from Bihar India, the complaint was sent through postal service as the police refused to file a complaint a day after the incident.
The victim's husband had been asking for two lakhs money from the victim's family for building a house and the deceased woman's father agreed to provide the money in the time of construction however their daughter was murdered on December 16, a day after she returned to her in-law's house. The victim's family has appealed the stakeholders and Nepal Police to take action against the perpetrator of the murder.
