Twenty-two years old Mayaram Chaudhari of Lamichuha Municipality Ward No. 6 was returning home after work when his motorcycle collided with a vehicle on Saturday.

Chaudhari died on the spot after the accident took place at midnight in the Gulra road of the East-West Highway. Locals have blocked the east-west highway at Lamki since Sunday morning demanding identification and action against the culprit.

According to DSP Dakshya Kumar Basnet ten policemen along with DSP of Tikapur, Manohar Prasad Bhatta are injured after the locals threw stones at the police while they were trying to stop the road blockade. A few demonstrators were also injured during the clash. The driver of the ambulance has been taken into custody as a suspect behind Chaudhari’s accident.
