Human Rights and Peace Society protested at Maitighar Mandala here today demanding stern action against erring persons in various scandals.
Protesters, including founding president of HUREPS Krishna Pahadi, staged an hourlong protest against the government’s tendency to give immunity to culprits of various scandals such as aircraft purchase, land-grab scam and the recent scam on security printing press procurement deal.
They demanded investigation into the security printing press procurement scandal and called for stern action against the culprits.
Outgoing minister of communications, Gokul Prasad Banskota had tendered resignation on moral ground following leakage of an audiotape in relation to security printing press procurement.
