Bhuwan Singh Bista, 23, a district member of ANNISU-WU, a resident of Bedkot Municipality-8, has been critically injured in a baton charge by the police on February 24 after artist Jyoti Magar was attacked and stoned during a performance at the Far-Western Industrial Trade Fair in Mahendranagar.
The victim, Bista, said that Inspector Suraj Karki had beaten himself with batons and boots while trying to stop the noise caused when some people started shouting while artist Jyoti Magar was presenting on stage. He was referred to Maya Metro Hospital in Dhangadi after his treatment couldn't be possible in Mahakali Hospital.
Mahendra Bohara, 22, of Bhimdatta Municipality-18, Dilip Bista, 21, of the same place, Abhishek Khadka, 23, and Navin Joshi, 24, of Bhimdatta Municipality-3 have been arrested for their prurient behavior and vandalism over the staffs of the Fair secretariat and were released in the custody of their relative on the same day as stated by Kanchanpur Inspector Suraj Karki.
