Two people traveling on a tempo have been killed after being hit by a tipper truck at Milan chowk in ward no. 19 of Biratnagar metropolis. The incident took place last night at around 9:30 pm when the tipper (Ko.1 Ka. 2917) hit the tempo coming from the opposite direction, according to District Police Office, Morang.
The deceased have been identified as the temp driver Baburam Sardar,45, of Gramthan rural municipality and his six-year-old granddaughter Arohi Sardar, chief of the office, Biswa Adhikari said. Following the incident, irate locals set the tipper on fire.
