Police assaulted the chairperson of Valley Taxi Entrepreneurs and Drivers Service Society, Sanu Purbachhane Magar, this morning when he was mediating a dispute between a tootle rider and some taxi drivers at Bafal. According to Magar, the dispute arose after a tootle rider started soliciting passengers from the taxi parking site at Bafal. He stated that the police slapped him hard without provocation. He claimed that the slap was not just an attack on him but entire taxi drivers.
