Dalit rights activists have accused the Mayor Devraj Bista of Panchadeval Binayak Municipality of discriminating Dalit community members while keeping them in quarantine.

They accused mayor Bista of discriminating among Dalit caste people and other caste people as Mayor Bista has allowed Chandra Devkota, Lalita Shahi, and jay Baduwal to sit in home quarantine but had taken Prakash BK of ward number-4 to the municipality quarantine from his home.

Dalit rights activists demanded that the rules should be equal to everyone.  Dalit rights activists strongly object to such behavior.
