Police informed that on Sunday morning three people including a female ward member of Dharan Sub-metropolitan City-14 were manhandled over a dispute of naming of Shivaji Chowk. According to DSP Dundiraj Neupane, Area Police Office Dharan, Dalit female ward member Manisha BK, Jhalak Tamang, and Suraj BK sustained an injury in the incident. 

According to the locals, they were attacked on the road during a dispute over naming the Chowk. According to the victims, they were hit by beer bottles and firewood. The injured are undergoing treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences.

Police arrested Baburam Adhikari, Ganesh Karki, Arjun Tamang and Padam Tamang on the charge of manhandling.
