16-year-old Rajan Yadav of Ramgopalpur Municipality-7 died in a fire exchange between smugglers and police last night. 

Police arrested 50-year-old Surendra Yadav and 27-year-old Rahul Yadav of the same place who are said to be drug smugglers. 

The clash took place between the smugglers and the team of police deployed from the District Police Office, who was in civil dress, in a road of Ramgopalpur-7 at night around 8'o clock. 

Police claimed that Rajan died on the spot when the police exchanged fire in self-defense. 

In the clash Constable Sanjeev Paswan and policeman Ram Vihari Paswan, Manoj Sah, and Lal Babu Yadav sustained an injury and are undergoing treatment at the District Hospital, Jaleshwor.
