People kept in quarantine at Kanchanrup Municipality-1 of Saptari have assaulted a policeman deployed for the security of the quarantine. According to Area Police Office, Kanchanrup two occupants at the quarantine and two others who came to visit them assaulted junior police Kamlesh Sah when he requested them to maintain social distance. Kamlesh reported that they also hit him with bamboo stick.
According to Dambar Gupta, Senior Assistant Health Worker of the Municipality's Health branch, the injured police's right knee's upper part is dislocated and his face is swollen. Police have arrested one of the assailants and are further investigating.
