20-year-old Sangita Kapar of Bateshwor Rural Municipality-2 died on May 29. Sangita's family has accused her husband, 25-year-old Anil Kapar, of strangling her to death over a dowry dispute.
Ram Ayodh Kapar, the father of the deceased, claims that Anil killed his daughter because of insufficient dowry. The in-laws had asked for a new motorcycle. He adds that they provided a dowry of about 10 lakh rupees, including gold.
The post-mortem examination was done at Provincial Hospital Janakpur on May 30. The police shared that they received information that Sangita was found hanging, and she died on her way to a local clinic.
