Locals have padlocked a community school in the Nagarain Municipality-7 of Dhanusha over a dispute of quarantine setup. The quarantine was being set up in 8 rooms at the community school to quarantine the citizens of ward coming from India. It has been stopped by the locals as it would compromise the safety of the village.
Mayor of the municipality Parameshwar Yadav said that some locals locked the gate at the behest of some members of the Brahmin community when they went to clean it on Tuesday and install a fan today (Thursday). The villagers have demanded safer quarantine with proper management and security as per mutual decision.
According to Ram Dular Mukhiya, ward chairman of ward-7, the school is far from the village and only one person has a house near the school. Despite the agreement and decision to create quarantine in the community schools in different wards as per the decision of the municipality, some people from the Brahmin community instigated locals for their personal interests.
