Province 1, Jhapa, Birtamod, Ward 2
Locals have stopped a Covid-19 recovered person from Birtamod-2, Jhapa from entering the village accusing him of escaping from the hospital.
The 31-year-old man had returned from India on May 25 and stayed in the quarantine of Buddhashanti Rural Municipality. He was rushed to COVID Hospital in Dharan after he tested positive for corona on June 2. The hospital discharged him within ten days after his recovery. He was returning home on Friday. However, as soon as he got out of the ambulance at 4 pm, the locals surrounded him. They did not allow him to enter the village even after showing evidence of discharge from the hospital. They have taken a stand that the man should leave the village by Saturday.
