Police have arrested Sandeep Bishwokarma (20), a temporary resident of Mahalaxmi Municipality-8 Lubhu on 12 June 2020. According to the victim’s mother, the accused had threatened the victim and raped her from 27 May to 10 June.

The victim’s mother had filed a complaint against the accused on 10 June 2020 at the Metropolitan Police Circle, Satdobato, Lalitpur. The accused was arrested from his rented residence and the District Court has allocated five days for investigation regarding the case, informed DSP Mitra Bandu Sharma.

Health checkup of the victim was conducted on 12 June at the Patan Hospital, informed the hospital’s Director Dr Bishnu Sharma.
