Province 1, Jhapa, Mechinagar, Ward 11
The villagers obstructed the cremation of an old man of Mechinagar Municipality-11, who died of kidney failure, for six hours on Monday, in a suspicion that the old man had died of corona infection.
The elderly man had been admitted to the Nobel Hospital in Biratnagar for treatment only a week ago. He returned home from the hospital on Friday.
He died at home at 8 am on Monday. "Looking at the Nobel Hospital report, it doesn't look like he died of corona," said Shashikala Rai, Head of the Municipality's Health Department, "Both kidneys are damaged. The villagers allowed to do the last rituals only after knowing everything. "
