Rape accused arrested from Lalitpur

Police have arrested Shambhu Rai (50) an original of Malaku rural municipality-2, Sankhuwasabha, temporarily residing at Lalitpur metropolitan-29, Harisiddhi on 24 June 2020 in accusation of raping a 14-year-old girl.
The victim was raped on 18 June 2020 by the accused, informed the victim’s mother.
The complaint was filed on 24 June 2020 at the Metropolitan Police Circle, Satdobato. The accused was arrested on the same day and the district court has given five days for investigation, informed DSP Mitra Bindu Sharma.
Health checkup of the victim was conducted on 24 June 2020 at Patan Hospital.
