Police arrested 50-year-old Shiv Narayan Shah of Shambhunath Municipality-16 on July 7 on charges of raping a 10-year-old girl. A complaint has been lodged by the victim's father against the accused at the District Police Office, Saptari on July 6 after the victim repeatedly informed her sister about the incident. Post medical examination on July 6 doctors at Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital, Rajbiraj concluded that the girl has been sexually abused for at least two weeks.
