Police constable 32-year-old Ghanshyam Thapa Magar and 30-year-old Chhavilal Bamjan have beaten and injured six people including three infected with COVID-19 in the quarantine of Chandra namuna secondary school in Bode Barsain Municipality-5 on July 8.
The injured were treated in quarantine by the health workers of Bode Bursain Health Post, said Baidyanath Sah, Health Coordinator of Bode Bursain Municipality.
The victims allege that the police beat them while they were sitting at the main entrance of the school to avoid heat. They had demanded action against the culprit with Mayor Atesh Kumar Singh, who reached the spot after the people in quarantine agitated on the night of July 8 to protest against the police beating.
