Four persons were injured when a group of people led by Khageshwor Gohiwar attacked them in the office of Ward 3 of Mirchaiya Municipality in Raghopur. Among the injured were Kishore Kumar Yadav, Bhola Prasad Yadav, Hem Kumar Yadav, and Sri Prasad Yadav.
They all sustained injuries on their head and were taken to Mangalam Health Care in Mirchaiya Bazaar. Khageshwor who lost the elections as a candidate for the post of Ward Chairperson from RJPN Party, on July 9 padlocked the Ward office. Ward Chairman Kusiyat said that the padlock was done to protest irregularity in the Ward budget but he assured that the budget was not being used due to the lockdown.
