Demonstration in Basantapur demanding increase in the number of PCR tests

On Saturday, the Youth affiliated with the “Enough is Enough” campaign organized a peaceful protest in Basantapur Durbar Square. Stating that the Government has not fulfilled the demands in the agreement, Activist E: and Satyagraha campaign has continued its peaceful protest over the past 8 days. The same team was a part of a prior 12 days of continued fasting where the Government intervened and broke their fast showing commitments to fulfilling their demands. Up until Saturday 18,483 were infected and 45 dead. The youth are still demanding the number of PCR tests be increased, expenditures on health purchases to be made public, and effective steps be taken to prevent Corona spread. The Government ended the 4-month long lockdown on Tuesday as a strategy to boost the economy assuring the rate of coronavirus infection is declining.
