The landowners have surrounded the Land Revenue Office in Lahan on July 29 demanding the release of the land blocked in the name of updating record by Land Revenue Office. Landowners picketed the Land Revenue Office saying that it ways delaying the record update and hence the release of land in Bitauri and Gaunblock in Lahan. There was a scuffle between the victim and the police after they tried to enter the Land Revenue Office.
1208 families in the area have not been able to sale, divide and use their land as collateral against loan due to being blocked by the Land Revenue Office.
