Lockdown enforced in five local levels of Sindhuli

2020-08-15

Five local levels of Sindhuli have announced lockdown in their municipalities as the number of COVID-19 infections is increasing in the district. Currently, Kamalamai Municipality, Tinpatan Municipality, Marin Municipality, Sunkoshi Municipality and Golanjor Municipality issued a public notice and announced lockdown. Five local levels of the district have stated that all services except essential services have been shut down due to the increase in corona infection in Sindhuli and community.

They appealed to the citizens not to ignore the request made by the municipality. Fear has increased in the district after 13 people were infected with the coronavirus at the same time on August 14. The Kamalamai Municipality of the district has enforced lockdown since Tuesday night, while Sunkoshi and Golanjor, among other localities, enforced lockdown since Thursday. The Tinpatan municipality also announced lockdown in its municipality from Friday. All the locals have urged their citizens to stay at home safely. Prahlad Pokhrel, chairman of the hospital's operation and development committee, urged the hospital to keep the corona infected at home and quarantine due to lack of isolation beds in the hospital.
