Police opened 13 rounds of blank fire during a clash between the residents of Bhawanipur, Simraungadh Municipality Ward-11, and Paterwa, Adarshkotwal Municipality Ward-6.
The clash escalated over the dispute on fishing and flooding. Police had also fired 6 tear gas shells after houses were demolished due to attacks and counter-attacks between the villagers.
However, the situation returned to normal only after police had opened 13 rounds of blank fire.
