37-year-old Jang Bahadur Majhi, a ward member of Hariharpurgadhi Rural Municipality-8 of Sindhuli has been arrested on a charge of rape. According to the District Police Office, Sindhuli, he was arrested on the charge of raping two women.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Shyam Bahadur Khatri said that the case was registered in the district court on Tuesday. According to the police, the Majhi was arrested after the victim women lodged a complaint.

According to the complaint, the 25-year-old and 38-year-old woman who reached Jaleshwor Mahadevsthan after a three-hour walk on Saturday were made unconscious by Majhi and raped.
