The local administration in Arghakhanchi has decided to impose lockdown in the district for a week from Wednesday morning in the light of increasing cases of Covid-19. The all-party meeting in coordination with the District Administration Office had decided to lockdown the district to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
The restriction, however, will not apply to the vehicles offering essential services. There are currently three corona infected persons in the district. Among the infected, two men are from Bhumikasthan municipality and one is from Siitganga Municipality.
According to the Assistant CDO Bikram Thapa, out of 330 infected people in the district, three had died. There are currently 161 people kept in quarantines who had come from outside the district and from India.
