Independent Civil Society Chitwan tried to stage a demonstration at Chaubisakothi in Bharatpur demanding re-appointment of Kulman Ghising as the Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority. Supporters gathered at Chaubisakothi in Bharatpur carrying the flag of Nepal and banners in support of Ghising. Participants at the demonstration were maintaining social distance and wearing the mask, but the Police intervened and seized banners saying no protest is allowed during the prohibitory order. As the tenure of Kulman Ghising draws to a close, there has been a growing demand for Ghising to be re-appointed as executive director of Nepal Electricity Authority.
