Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) cadres staged a protest in Kathmandu on Friday demanding action against those involved in the killing of a priest at the Hanuman Temple of Madhav Narayan Municipality in Rautahat. The RPP affiliated National Democratic Students’ Organization demonstrated in front of Trichandra College, Kathmandu against the killing of the priest. They demanded to take strict action against the murderer along with the investigation upon the incident. Meanwhile, police have detained 12 student leader including Mahesh Singh, central chairman of the student's wing of RPP at Metropolitan Police Station, Durbarmarg.
Sixty-five-year-old Shreeram Sah died on the spot after being shot in his left temple at about 9:00 pm on August 19 night while he was having his meal at his home. Earlier, the Home Ministry had issued a secret circular to DAO of 77 districts to stop all the demonstrations and protest program related to the murder of the priest.
