Police fire warning shot during clash with smugglers in Dhanusha

Police fired warning shots during a clash with local smugglers in Dhanusha on Friday evening at Duhabi Gobara of Bideha Municipality-2. According to District Police Office Dhanusha, police had gone to raid at the house of Rajiv Mahaseth after being informed that Mahaseth was hiding large quantity of peas and pepper at his house with the intention of smuggling. Police fired warning shots after a group of people gathered by Mahaseth started pelting stones at them. Police recovered the hidden peas and peppers from Mahaseth's house.
