Police on Thursday arrested two persons allegedly involved in a gang rape. A team of the Metropolitan City Police Circle Thankot held Lokendra Bahadur Malla, 28, who is originally from Mugu and is currently residing in Chandragiri and Ratan Bahadur Shahi, 23, of Mugu on the charge of raping a 19-year-old girl at Chandragiri municipality-1, Dahachowk.

Metropolitan Police Circle In-charge DSPP Ghanashyam Shrestha shared the police team arrested Malla and Shahi acting on a tip-off.

Action would be taken against the arrestees under the rape offence clause of the National Civil Code Act-2074 BS, the Metropolitan Police Circle said.
