Doctors and paramedics working at Malakheti Hospital of Godawari Municipality, Kailali, have started protest with  five points demands including management of necessary manpower, 24-hour pharmacy operation and additional allowance. A health worker of the hospital said they were compelled to do protest after their written and verbal demands were ignored several times by the municipality.

The health workers of the hospital are now working by wearing black bandages on their hands. They said from September 8 onward the OPD service will be closed for one hour daily until the demand is met.

The hospital is now opearated under Godawari Municipality, and the chairman of the hospital management committee is the mayor himself.
