District Police Office, Rupandehi has registered a complaint of rape on September 14, 2020, against 24-year-old Amaran Mallaha of Siyari Rural Municipality-1, Rupandehi, in charge of raping a 26-year-old woman.

According to DSP Khadak Bahadur Khatri of the District Police Office,  the accused had continuously raped the victim from March by threatening. The victim was  woman was 20 weeks pregnant as she was raped for the last time on  June 4. Health checkup of the victim was conducted at Bhim Hospital, Bhairahawa, on September 13. DSP Khatri said the police are searching for the absconded accused.
