District Police Office Siraha have arrested a vegetable store operator from Kailaiya Syb-Metropolitan-1, Bara, on Thursday, on a charge of black marketing of onion. Chandan Sah, an operator of Khusi Store, Kailaya, was arrested on a charge of selling onion at 80 rupees per kg by purchasing it on 43 rupees. The police had also seized 458 kg of onions from the shop. The arrested vegetable operator will be investigated under the Black Market and Social Crimes Act-032 by taking 5 day’s of investigation time from the court.
As India banned the export of onion and the black marketing of onion had been increased across Nepal.
